Safeguarding and Reporting Concerns: Essential Compliance Guidelines
The most direct method for reporting a safeguarding or child protection concern is to email the dedicated compliance team immediately. Student safety is the highest priority, and all tutors are required to report any cause for concern without delay.
To report a safeguarding concern, follow these steps:
- Record the factual details of observations, statements heard, or disclosures received.
- Submit these details via email directly to safeguarding@lessonwise.org.
- The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) will review, log, and initiate any necessary external actions.
Key Compliance Requirements
To maintain compliance with UK safeguarding and data protection standards, the following rules must be observed:
- All communication with parents and students must occur exclusively on the LessonWise platform to ensure safeguarding and quality assurance.
- Personal contact through WhatsApp, personal email, or phone is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule may result in immediate removal from the tutor network.
- Absolute confidentiality must be maintained. Screenshots, photos, or videos of students must not be taken, nor should any student images or details be shared on personal social media accounts.
If a child is suspected to be in immediate danger, call the authorities, then email safeguarding@lessonwise.org without delay. For urgent operational guidance on non-emergency issues, contact Customer Service at +44 204 634 8683.
