What to do if your lesson isn't working

If you're having trouble joining or accessing your lesson, follow the troubleshooting steps below in order. These steps resolve the most common issues and may help you get back into your lesson quickly.

Step 1: Refresh your session

Start with a simple refresh of your lesson.

  1. Exit the lesson.
  2. Refresh your browser.
  3. Reopen the lesson by clicking the lesson link again.

If the lesson still doesn't load, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Check your browser

Browser-related issues are a common cause of connection problems.

Please try the following:

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
  • Ensure you are using the latest version of a supported browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera).
  • Close and reopen your browser.
  • Disable any browser extensions that may interfere with BrightPath.
  • Retry the lesson.

If the issue persists, proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Restart your session

Restarting your device can often resolve temporary system or connection issues.

  1. Log out of BrightPath.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Log back into BrightPath.
  4. Rejoin your lesson.

If you're still unable to access the lesson, continue to the next step.

Step 4: Check your internet connection

An unstable internet connection may prevent you from joining or staying connected to a lesson.

Before contacting support:

  • Ensure you are connected to the internet.
  • Restart your router if necessary.
  • If possible, switch to a wired connection or a stronger Wi-Fi network.
  • Close any applications or downloads that may be using significant bandwidth.

Step 5: Contact Customer Support

If you've completed all the steps above and are still unable to join your lesson, please contact Customer Support for assistance.

When contacting support, include the following information where possible:

  • Your name.
  • The lesson date and time.
  • The learner's name.
  • A brief description of the issue.
  • Any error messages or screenshots (if available).

Providing this information will help our support team investigate and resolve the issue more quickly.
